A regular but unusual meeting of the Siberian association of Neurosurgeons “SibNeuro” was held on April 29, 2022. Not only doctors but also auditors of non-medical professions took part in the meeting.
Julia V.Bomstein, the head and the leading trainer of “Art to Talk” company (Novosibirsk) and Gayane Balyan, the leader of professional orientation project (Novosibirsk) were the lectures of the LXXXVII^th meeting. Their reports were devoted to professional identity and self-presentation.
Julia Bomstein told the audience about the goal of Science Slam project in which frames so-called “scientific battles” are held – the project aimed at evoking interest to science, developing creative thinking and teaching how to present the results of one’s activities to the experts and to ordinary people who do not deal with scientific activities.
Gayane Balyan spoke about her project that helps to familiarize pupils and students with specific features of different professions. Our Center has been participated in this project for 5 years already.
The doctors of different specialties of the Center show their medical routine, tell the pupils about the demands placed on a person by medical profession. All this allows the pupils and students imagining their future profession, understanding their preferences and interests and to decide what they want to deal with in the future.
