Hands-on Course on Vascular Neurosurgery
An annual hands-on course on microvascular suture training was held at the premises of the Federal Neurosurgical Center (Novosibirsk) on April 11-14, 2022. The course was held under support from “AESCULAP Academy” company. Neurosurgeons from different cities of Russia and also from Kazakhstan took part in the event.
During 4 days of the course the participants made end-to-end and end-to-side anastomoses.
A series of lectures on indications for anastomosis creation, on types of anastomoses and their application in neurosurgery, on suture materials and hemostatics used in neurosurgery were presented during the course. Participants had a possibility to present during surgery on creating extra-intracranial microanastomosis from mini-approach. Neurosurgeons of neurovascular division, Andrey V.Dubovoy and Anatoliy V.Bervitskiy were operating surgeons.
The course takes place 2 times a year – in spring and in autumn. The next course will be held in October 2022. Registration for autumn course on neurovascular surgery will be launched in the end of summer 2022.
