Testing of BrainLab and BK Medical New Surgical Equipment

There was a testing of new surgical equipment in our Center during February 7-11, 2022. The specialists from BrainLab and BK Medical companies demonstrated the possibilities of ultrasound navigation, matching MRI, CT and US images in real-time regime. Equipment testing was performed step-by-step: first of all engineers and technicians performed their lectures, and then there was practice in the hall of the surgical suite and in the labs, and after that – training in the ORs. A week of intensive activities was enough for the experienced specialists of our Center to understand a real need for this or that equipment.

Here, in our Center we always take seriously planning of equipment purchasing, replenishing of equipment stock, we never purchase devices of unknown quality. This note is written not for the purpose of promoting this or that manufacturing company but to show how, why and for what purposes we plan purchasing expensive equipment and devices.
