Doctors-neurosurgeons of our Center had a working visit to 14 cities of the Siberian Federal district. Following cities were visited:

  • Barnaul (Gorno-Altaisk);
  • Chita (Trans-Baikal Territory);
  • Irkutsk (the Irkutsk Region);
  • Kemerovo, Novokuznetsk, Leninsk-Kuznetsk, Prokopyevsk (Kemerovo region);
  • Krasnoyarsk (Krasnoyarsk Region);
  • Omsk (Omsk Region);
  • Ulan-Ude (Republic Of Buryatia);
  • Gorno-Altaisk (Republic Of Altai);
  • Kyzyl (Republic Of Tuva);
  • Tomsk (Omsk region);
  • Abakan (Republic Of Khakassia).
The aim of the visits was to join efforts to solve practical and scientific problems in neurosurgery.

In all the regions our doctors were warmly welcomed by main freelance neurosurgeons, introduced with specialist-neurosurgeons and physicians of allied specializations, and showed how work is organized in the neurosurgical and neurological departments and shared experience and history of the development of the neurosurgical service.

This is the first small step towards a long and close cooperation with the neurosurgical community of the Siberian Federal district regions. The further plan of cooperation was discussed with representatives of each region.

From 14 till 16 July, the doctors of Siberia and others will gather for an important event - “Siberian Neurosurgical Congress”, organized by the Federal center of neurosurgery and the Siberian Association of Neurosurgeons.

Such events contribute to the expansion of professional competence of doctors and accelerate the pace of development of neurosurgery in General.
