Virtual training conference on “Non-standard clinical cases in spine surgery”.

On April 6, 2016 a training conference “Non-standard clinical cases in spine surgery” was held at the premises of R.R.Vreden Research Institute of Traumatology and Orthopedy.
Interesting clinical cases of spine surgery were demonstrated by the moderators of the conference under the leadership of the Director of R.R.Vreden Research Institute of Traumatology and Orthopedy Rashid M.Tikhilov and the Head of neuro-orthopedy with bone oncology, Dmitry A.Ptashnikov.

• Igor S.Karabaev, the Head of neurosurgical division of the A.M.Nikiforov Russian Center of Emergency and Radiation Medicine;
• Vadim A.Manukovskiy, Deputy Director on clinical activities of I.I.Dzhanelidze Research Institute of First Aid.
• Sergey V.Kolesov, the Head of neurosurgical division of N.N.Priorov Central Research Institute of Traumatology and Orthopedy;
Our Center was presented by a neurosurgeon of the spinal division, Aleksey V.Evsyukov.

The conference ended with description of clinical cases of patients with tumoral spine damages. Each demonstration was followed by numerous questions from the audience including those who participated in real-time translation mode. The total number of participants was more than 3500 people.
All participants of the conference noticed its high level of efforts having allowed joining vertebrologists and neurosurgeons from different regions of Russia and abroad. Presented cases demonstrated high-class surgical procedures held in different health care institutions of Russia.
