The doctors of pediatric division participated in the 43rd Annual Meeting of International Society for Pediatric Neurosurgery.

From October 4th till October 8th the 43rd Annual Meeting of International Society for Pediatric Neurosurgery was held in Izmir, Turkey. This Society was founded in 1972. Now it is the biggest Society of Pediatric Neurosurgery in the world and the official journal of this Society is the one of the most authoritative regular publications editions about children’s nervous system malformations. The annual ISPN’s meetings join a lot of highly qualified specialists. 

The 43rd Meeting was held in Izmir – the 3rd populous city in Turkey located near the Aegean Sea. Lecturers from different countries participated in the event. The questions of pediatric neurooncology and hydrocephalus, surgical treatment of epilepsy and nervous system malformations were discussed. 

Dr. Sergey A. Kim presented the report on «Surgical treatment of multiloculated hydrocephalus in children. Our experience». He told about results of endoscopic surgery of multiloculated hydrocephalus in children. 

The report on «Algorithm for the diagnosis and surgical treatment of tethered cord syndrome (TCS) in children» of Dr. Vasiliy E. Danilin was presented at poster session. 

 Participation in such global events helps our doctors to stay in step with trends of neurosurgical life.
