Kyphosis is a serious malfunction of loco-motor system. Both children and adults are amenable to this disease. The main symptoms on early stage of the disease are pains in spinal cord precipitated by muscle spasms. Lumbar form does harm to spinal cord because the facet joints do not take the load. In the result the spinal cord stiffens and loses flexibility. The absence of modern treatment, either pharmaceutical or manual can precipitate disease progression and can lead to the necessity of surgical procedure.

The following may be the main reasons of the disease: sedentary life-style and absence of necessary quantity of physical activities. As a rule, this disease starts to develop in children during their school-time, at the age of 10-16. The final picture forms up to 20 years when formation of skeletal system is finished.
