The Educational Course “Transnasal Endoscopic surgery”.

From November 30 till December 4, 2015 the Siberian Association of Neurosurgeons «SibNeuro» and Federal Neurosurgical Center (Novosibirsk) will hold the Educational Course “Transnasal endoscopic surgery”. The program of the course includes lectures of endocrinologist about hormonal disorders in the preoperative and postoperative period, as well as lectures of neurosurgeons on the general principles of endoscopy, endoscopic anatomy of skull base, different approaches and methods of endoscopic reconstruction of skull base defects and methods of hemostasis.

Also course will include live-surgery: 8 different cases (different pathologies of sellar area: hormonally active and inactive pituitary adenomas, craniopharyngiomas, nasal liquorrhea).

Everyone interested is invited. Admission is free.

Faculty:

1. Bahtiyar Y. Pashaev, a doctor of neurosurgical division of the Interregional Clinical Diagnostic Center, member of the North American Skull Base Society (NASBS), Kazan.

2. Ovanes R. Akobyan, Candidate of Medical Sciences, a doctor of Neurosurgical division of the City Multidisciplinary Clinic N2, St. Petersburg.

3. Pavel G. Rudenko, Candidate of Medical Sciences, a doctor of Neurosurgical division of the Regional clinical hospital, Krasnoyarsk.

 4. Ani R. Karapetyan, endocrinologist of the Federal Neurosurgical Center, Novosibirsk.

 5. Ekaterina V. Gormolysova, a doctor of Oncology division of the Federal Neurosurgical Center, Novosibirsk.

8. Intraoperative and early postoperative complications in transnasal surgery (Pashaev B.)

9. Endoscopic reconstruction of skull base defects: current options for cerebrospinal fluid fistula (Gormolysova E.)

10. Hemostasis in endoscopy: different ways of hemostasis from mucosal to damaged carotid artery. (Pashaev B.)

11. Experience of the Krasnoyarsk surgeons in endoscopic endonasal surgery of tumors of sellar area. (Rudenko P.)
