March 6

9.00-9.15 – Opening remarks, welcome words (Jamil Rzaev);

9.15-9.45 – Lecture: Basic elements of modern endovascular brain surgery (Vitaliy S.Kiselev);

The goal is to demonstrate the latest information of the present state of vascular surgery of brain aneurysms.

Result: the doctors will be informed about the present state of modern endovascular surgery.

9.45-9.50 – Clinical case for a surgeon’s show-case (Rustam R.Gafurov).

9.50-10.00 – Coffee-break;

10.00-11.30 – Surgery: Aneurysm occlusion with stent-assistance (V.Kiselev, A.Perfilyev).

The goal is to demonstrate the possibilities of stents application in the surgery of cerebral aneurysms.

Result: participants will see the possibilities of stents on real clinical case.

11.30-12.00 – Lecture: Micro spirals – principles and approaches to the choice of aneurysms surgery (V.Kiselev)

The goal is to introduce the audience with tactics of selection, consequence of implantation and specific nature of micro spirals application in aneurysms surgery.

Result: participants will find out information about specific nature of micro spirals application.

12.00-12.50 – Lunch;

12.50-13.00 – Clinical case for surgery (A.Perfilyev);

13.00-14.30 – Surgery: Brain aneurysm occlusion (V.Kiselev, A.Sosnov)

The goal is to show specific nature of micro spirals application in practice.

Result: participants will be able to see application of micro spirals in live situation.

14.30-14.45 – Coffee-break.

14.45-15.15 – Lecture: Assisting methods in aneurysms surgery (V.Kiselev)

The goal is to tell the audience about specific features of assisting methods application in surgery of aneurysms

Result: participants will find out specific features of assisting methods application in surgery of aneurysms and will be able to choose appropriate method for a patient.

15.15-15.45 – Lecture: Modern equipment for management of cerebral aneurysms (A.Sosnov)

The goal is to introduce the audience with specific features of application of equipment from different manufacturing companies.

Result: participants will be able to choose necessary equipment for specific clinical case.

15.45-16.00 – Summing-up of the day.

March 7

10.00-12.00 – Practice: Work on simulator (V.Kiselev).

The goal is to provide the participants with the opportunity to test performing aneurysms occlusion, implantation of stents in simulator.

Result: participants will be able to strengthen the theory in practice.

12.00-13.00 – Lunch;

13.00-16.00 – Practice: Working on flow-models (V.Kiselev)

The goal: these activities will allow finding out information about practical application of micro spirals of stents on flow-models.

Result: strengthening the skills on flow-models.

16.00-16.30 – Summing-up. Handing out the certificates of the educational course.
