Microvascular Stitch Training Hands-on Course

A regular hands-on course on microvascular stitch technique was held by the specialists of vascular division of the Federal Neurosurgical Center on November 14-17, 2022. As a tradition, 10 students from different cities of Russia took part in the course. They represented Vladivostok, Leninsk-Kuznetskiy, Novosibirsk, Kazan, Sochi, Moscow and St.-Petersburg. The demand for such courses has been very high in recent times (there is a waiting-list for a year ahead) so that is why the course organizers stopped inviting the doctors who wished to participate in the course for the second time.

The course helps doctors not only to master the microvascular stitch technique but it also helps to increase their microsurgical skills in general. Refining the movements’ precision during microvascular anastomosis performing, it is possible to use these skills in the routine activities of a neurosurgeon.

Participants of the course noticed a very friendly atmosphere; they were very satisfied by a new store of theoretical knowledge and practical skills.
