Epilepsy: From Diagnostics to Therapy

A conference on “Poor outcomes of drug-resistant epilepsy surgery: problems, mistakes, solutions” was held at the premises of our Center on October 8, 2022. The Head of the functional division of our Center, a neurosurgeon, Aleksandr B.Dmitriev was a moderator of the event.

The specialists dealing with neurosurgical treatment of drug-resistant epilepsy, neurosurgeons, neurologists and epileptologists from Moscow, Yekaterinburg, Krasnoyarsk and Novosibirsk were the speakers of the conference. Our Center was presented by the following specialists:

-       Head of X-Ray division, Dr.Mikhail E.Amelin;

-       Head of the functional division, Dr.Aleksandr B.Dmitriev;

-       A neurosurgeon of the functional division, Dr.Fedor A.Efremov;

-       A neurosurgeon of the functional division, Dr.Vladimir S.Dementievskiy;

-       A neurophysiologist, Dr.Anastasiya A.Khalepa;

-       A neurosurgeon pf the pediatric division, Dr.Sergey A.Kim.

During the conference the specialists discussed the major aspects of neurosurgical treatment of drug-resistant epilepsy and the reasons of poor outcomes. Such meetings help the specialists to exchange invaluable experience and solve the problems of drug-resistant epilepsy treatment.
