Quid est veritas? What is the truth?

This famous phrase crowns the arches of academic auditorium of Ivanovo Medical Academy where the Regional Conference of neurosurgeons of the Central Federal District was held on September 22, 2022.

Rather meaningful meeting consisted of 3 parts: morning plenary session, after-dinner and evening sectional sessions. Detailed program of the event could be found here.

Meaningful meetings are being held in many cities of our large country not only in the capitals during recent years. That is great and useful for further development of our specialty.

Definitely, the most important positive feature of such “provincial” conferences is the fact that young doctors and even medical students are able to visit such meetings. It’s difficult for young colleagues to go far due to many reasons – such trips are not cheap, as usual, they have to take time off from their work or studies, etc. Local conferences with invited well-known leading neurosurgeons of our country give the chance not only to listen to their lectures but also provide the possibility to be involved into face-to-face communication between experienced specialists and beginners. This particular thing is supposed to be a very important in rising and education of young specialists.

Apart from scientific program and impressive medical exhibition the participants of the conference had a chance to visit wonderful Levitan’s areas in Plyos in these warm golden autumn days.
