A Visiting Meeting of the Siberian Association of Neurosurgeons

A visiting meeting of the Siberian Association of Neurosurgeons was held in Surgut on August 26. Dr.Jamil A.Rzaev, Dr.Galina I.Moysak, Dr.Anatoliy V.Bervitskiy participated in this meeting.

The neurosurgical service in Surgut is very strong; we have been in good friendly relations with our Surgut colleagues. The conference took up the half of a working day. Neurologists and neurosurgeons of the Federal Neurosurgical Center (Novosibirsk) and Surgut Traumatologic Hospital where there are 4 neurosurgical divisions, presented their reports. All the reports were very interesting, currently topical, they were devoted to vascular neurosurgical pathology, neurooncology, surgical treatment of pain.

The employees of the Surgur State University had also warmly met us apart from the neurosurgical colleagues. There was a meeting with the Rector of the University, Professor Sergey M.Kosenok and the Director of the Medical Institute of the Surgut State University, Professor Ljudmila V.Kovalenko. The meeting was very warm and friendly. We had a possibility to discuss the problems that Siberian universities face. The main problem is staff loss. All together we outlined possible cooperation.
