Whole-Russian scientific and research conference “Current aspects of craniofacial and orthognatic surgery”

The conference on “Current aspects of craniofacial and orthognatic surgery” was held in “Eurasia” hotel (Tyumen) on November 19-20, 2021. The conference was supported by Dmitry A.Gulyaev, the chief part-time neurosurgeon of the Russian Public Health Ministry, a Vice-President of the Russian Association of Neurosurgeons.

There were 2 parts of the conference: craniofacial surgery, surgical dentistry and orthognatic surgery.

The section dedicated to diagnostics and treatment of children with craniofacial pathology was held on November 20. The leading specialists of Russia from Moscow, St.-Petersburg, Tyumen, Novosibirsk, Vladivostok and Kazakhstan shared their experience of face and eyes diseases surgical treatment.

The program of the event included reports of the leading subject matter specialists in the framework of 3 main sections:

·         Craniofacial surgery;

·         Surgical dentistry and orthognatic surgery;

·         Diagnostics and treatment of children with craniofacial pathology.

Dr.German V.Letyagin, the Chief of the pediatric division of our Center presented his report on “Application of “open” surgical methods of craniosynostosis in children”.
