AO Spine Conference

A conference on “Common principles of degenerative pathology of lumbar spine treatment. The role of invasive methods in surgery of lumbar spine” was held at the premises of the Federal Neurosurgical Center (Novosibirsk) on October 22, 2021.

The following specialists of the Center were among the speakers:

·         Yuliy E.Kubetskiy, the Chief of spinal division of the Federal Neurosurgical Center (Novosibirsk);

·         Ivan I.Vasilenko, a neurosurgeon of the spinal division of the Federal Neurosurgical Center (Novosibirsk);

·         Evgeniy A.Loparev, a neurosurgeon of the spinal division of the Federal Neurosurgical Center (Novosibirsk);

·         Roman V.Khalepa, a neurosurgeon of the spinal division of the Federal Neurosurgical Center (Novosibirsk);

·         Aleksandr V.Bulatov, a neurosurgeon of the spinal division of the Federal Neurosurgical Center (Novosibirsk).

The program of the conference was divided into 4 sessions, dedicated to such issues as diskal hernia, lumbar spine stenosis, spondylolisthesis and spinal deformity in adults. Alongside with the lectures the students and faculties discussed a lot of clinical cases from their personal neurosurgical practice. Practicing neurosurgeons, residents were among the students of the conference. All the participants of the conference obtained AO Spine Certificates.
