Awarding of the Chief of pediatric division of the Federal Neurosurgical Center (Novosibirsk)
On the second day of the IXth Meeting of the Russian Neurosurgeons (June 16, 2021), after plenary and sectional session there was a ceremony of the Russian Association of Neurosurgeons medals giving. The Chief of the pediatric division of the Federal Neurosurgical Center (Novosibirsk), Dr.German V.Letyagin was awarded with a commemorative medal of Professor A.A.Arendt “For the Merits in Pediatric Neurosurgery” and an honorary diploma.
A wonderful children’s doctor, our colleague obtained his award named in honor of one of the children’s neurosurgery founder, Professor Andrey A.Arendt who was also a follower of the Academician Burdenko, a grand-nephew of the surgeon of Nikolay I, Nikolay F.Arendt who provided treatment to mortally wounded Pushkin. It’s amazing how the historical line links generations of neurosurgeons.
