Visiting meeting of “SibNeuro” Siberian Association of Neurosurgeons (Chelyabinsk)

A regular meeting of the Siberian Association of Neurosurgeons “SibNeuro” took place in Chelyabinsk on May 21, 2021. Similar visiting meeting became already habitual for the Association. During these meeting the specialists have an opportunity to exchange their experience, present their lectures, and take part in vivid discussions. Such meetings are very important for all of us – the members of professional neurosurgical community. Specialists of the regional hospital #3, Dr.Andrey N.Kuzmin with his colleagues warmly welcomed the doctors of the Federal Neurosurgical Center.

The meeting was opened by Jamil A.Rzaev, Physician-in-Chief of the Federal Neurosurgical Center (Novosibirsk). He presented his report on “Facial pain surgery”. He also told the audience about the surgery of vestibular schwannomas.

The report of Vladimir E.Guzhin, a vascular neurosurgeon was dedicated to the revascularizing surgery in management of brachiocephalic arteries pathology.

Chelyabinsk regional hospital was presented by the Head of neurosurgical division #1, Dr.Andrey N.Kuzmin. He shared his experience of trigeminal nerve microvascular decompression in treatment of trigeminal neuralgia. Dr.Kuzin also presented his report on “The ways of increasing the radicality of high grade gliomas surgical treatment”.

The meeting was finished by the report on “Application of intraoperational neuro monitoring in neurosurgery in the Regional clinical hospital #3 of Chelyabinsk”. The report was presented by Julia V.Zatsepina, neurologist of a neurosurgical division #1 of the Chelyabinsk clinical hospital.

 Alongside with professional topics discussion the audience had a chance to discuss the possibilities of holding joint educational events: hands-on courses, trainings and other types of collaboration.

 The visit to Chelyabinsk included not only scientific part but also some social events: tour around the city and suburbs of Chelyabinsk.
