The day of nurse in the Federal Neurosurgical Center (Novosibirsk)

An annual holiday – the day of a nurse was celebrated on May 12, 2021.

The International Day of a Nurse is celebrated under the auspices of the ICN (International Council of Nurses).

The first idea of celebrating the Day of a Nurse appeared in 1953 but it started to be celebrated from 1965. In 1974 the ICN decided to celebrate the Day of the Nurse on May 12. Exactly this day was the birthday of Florence Nightingale one of the founders of the Sisters of Charity Service.

The team of “Cheerful children’s hospital” project presented by its leader, Darya Stemkovskaya expressed their warmest congratulations to the nurses of the Federal Neurosurgical Center. Besides, the volunteers handed over the presents to all the nurses of the Center.
