Ophthalmologist completed the training course in the workplace.

Eye doctor of our center Tamara Konstantinovna Istomina has completed a course of neuro-ophthalmology in the workplace in the ophthalmology department at the research institute of neurosurgery named after academician N.N. Burdenko.
The department is headed by Professor Natalia Konstantinovna Serova. Staff members of the department deal with neurosurgical aspects of neuro-ophthalmology. The doctors willingly shared their knowledge with Tamara Konstantinovna and provided literature that will allow to consolidate the knowledge.
Neurosurgical pathology often manifests itself only as ophthalmological symptoms. Modern diagnostic techniques (CT and MRI) allows to detect the disease at an earlier stage of its development that helps to determine further tactics of treatment. In many cases it depends on ophthalmologist how timely the patient will be provided with medical assistance.
