“Intraoperational neurophysiological monitoring” practical course was held at the premises of the Federal Neurosurgical center (Novosibirsk) during June 13-15. The faculties of the course were our colleagues from the United States of America –Professor  Robert J.Sclabassi, neurophysiologist and neurologist (Department of Neurological Surgery, Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburg, PA, USA) and Dr.Brent L.Clyde, MD (bountiful, UT, USA).

During 3 days of the course participants had an opportunity to find out information about neurophysiological monitoring during surgery on brainstem and on cerebellopontine angle; on monitoring in cases of microvascular decompression of trigeminal and facial nerves; on mapping of cerebral cortex and brain tracks during surgery on significant brain zones, monitoring of brain vessels and monitoring during spinal surgery.

After each lecture course participants asked a lot of questions to the faculties.
