“Working With Motor Systems in Neurosurgery” Workshop for Nurses.
The drilling course for nurses will be held on April 20, 2017 at the premises of the Federal Neurosurgical Center. The nurses of neurosurgical divisions are invited for participation.

10:00 – 10:15 Opening remarks. Jamil Rzaev, MD, PhD, Physician-in-Chief of the Federal Neurosurgical Center (Novosibirsk).
10:15 – 10:45 Introduction into motor systems. Main characteristics; main operation principles of motor systems – Anton Kalinovskiy.
10:45 – 11:15 The choice of appropriate bores. Characteristics and features of different bores types; principles of bores choice for specific tasks and their correct usage – Anton V.Kalinovskiy.
11:15 – 11:45 The main approaches in neurosurgery (head and spine). The main goals of a neurosurgeon and requirements for the equipment, theory – Anton V.Kalinovskiy.
11:45 – 13:00 Application of motor systems on models. Hands-on. Mantling and dismantling; marking reading; demonstration and discussion of typical mistakes in usage of motor systems – comparison of sharp and blunt bures; comparison of carving and diamond bores – handling of plastic models (skulls), osseous structures (shoulder blades) – Anton V.Kalinovskiy.

13:45 – 15:00 Application of motor systems on models and flat bones. Hands-on, continuation. Mantling-dismantling; marking reading; demonstration and discussion of typical mistakes in usage of motor systems – comparison of sharp and blunt bures; comparison of carving and diamond bores – on osseous structures and chicken eggs – Anton V.Kalinovskiy.
15:00 – 16:30 Handling of motor systems. Identification of the part and sorting out; features of the primary reference material and disinfection of power equipment, comparison of manual and mechanical handling; sterilization of equipment; functioning test, technical services. – A.Kirilenko.
16:30 – 17:00 Summing-up. Delivery of certificates.
